Arrangements For All Seasons.

Allow the season to brighten your space.

We have a lovely white vase that brings a nice “pop” to our wooden home. Our vase came as a wedding gift from our sweet friends; Robert and Gibson Palmes. It can be purchased at Belks. This vase has inspired me to florally arrange each season into our home. I have been collecting faux floral arrangements from Hobby Lobby (when they go 50% off). Most arrangements estimate between $10-$18.

Other “go-to” places for floral arranging:

  1. Michaels
  2. Thrift Shops/Habitat for Humanity
  3. A.C. Moore

This is such a fun way to invite the season into your home. You can take a simple vase and let it warm a small space in your home. Hobby Lobby, Belk’s, and Kirkland’s are my top picks for having a wide variety of decorative vases at reasonable prices. Our vase sits beneath one of our windows with a slice of Ash wood beneath it.

Tips for arranging faux flowers:

  1. Color scheme. Create a palette that reflects the season and your favorite parts about it.
  2. Think about seasonal highlights. You do not want Lilies or Hydrangeas in November so reflect on what flowers or greenery are seasonally appropriate.
  3. Flowers that match your style. Since our home is a log cabin, then I try to arrange pieces that flow with our home. In my opinion, it is harder for our home to flaunt flowers such as Tulips, Roses, Lisianthus, or Calla Lilies. I steer more towards faux arrangements that blend with our cabin decor.
  4. Too much is always enough. When arranging, then you want to buy a large bundle or arrangement so that your space is full. You do not want your vase to have gaps in it. Measure the diameter of your vase before heading to the store.
  5. Take your Momma! She has been doing this longer than you so take your Momma for a second opinion. I can always count on my Momma for her honest opinion and helping hand.

Here are some of the faux arrangements from October 2017 to current.
